Christmas Tree Collection: The collection dates for 2012 are January 3rd, 6th, 9th, 13th & 16th. Please put your tree out on the curb the night prior to pickup as the trucks will be around shortly after 7 AM. Please do not wrap your tree in a tree bag.
Disc Golf: Jackson Township is happy to announce the completion of the new disc golf course at Jackson Recreation Park. In addition to downloading them from this website, you can also pick up score cards at either the Lauck's Sporting Goods in Myerstown or at the Township Building. Lauck's also now stocks discs that you can purchase to play.
Check back in the coming months to learn more about an upcoming League Night that is being established which will have people available to show others how to play. However, this will not start until springtime.

Parks & Open Space Plan: A draft of the Jackson Township Recreation, Parks and Open space plan is available at the Township Building for public review and comment. Since the plan is a draft it must be viewed at the building and no copies will be made.
Recent News: Act 129 was enacted by the Pennsylvania General Assembly in November 2008 and requires Met-Ed and all of Pennsylvania’s major electric distribution companies to develop and implement energy and conservation plans to reduce electricity consumption and peak demand. The legislation calls for electricity savings of at least 1% by May 2011, and at least 3% by May 2013. It further calls for a reduction in peak demand of at least 4.5 % by May 2013. To meet these goals, Met-Ed has developed a number of energy efficiency incentive and rebate programs for residential and commercial customers. Click here for an article related to the matter.
